Lithium-ion batteries are not only found in mobile phones, but also in notebooks, tablets, tools, alarm systems, electric bicycles and even in toys. And especially in RC model making we find more and more powerful LiPo batteries in use.

If such batteries are visibly or not visibly damaged or recharged after a deep discharge, this can lead to spontaneous combustion. We have accepted the challenge to meet the required safety standards.

The rechargeable batteries are placed on and between the extingu- ishing agent bags filled with Extover® fire protection fire-extinguishing granules and are covered with them, so that no slipping is possible. The dangerous goods box is closed and secured with the belt.

Attention: The safety box is only suitable for undamaged or non-critically defective rechargeable batteries according to packing instructions P908 / LP904. If there is a risk that a defective cell may still ignite during transport, a permit according to special provision 376 by the authority (BAM) is mandatory for the shipment! Cells and batteries which, under normal conditions of carriage, are prone to disassembly, dangerous reaction, flame formation, generation of dangerous heat or hazardous emissions of toxic, corrosive or flammable gases or vapors, may only be transported under conditions specified by the competent authority.
