YGE Aureus 185
Product Description and Features
The YGE Aureus 185 features a powerful and highly resilient BEC (15 amps continuous and 25 amps short-term) and can be operated with servos from 5.5 to 12 volts. This means this speed controller can be used in models with analog, digital, and also high-voltage servos. Programming and updates for the speed controller are done via an optionally available USB adapter. Thanks to the sine wave startup of the YGE Aureus 185, the motor starts up SUPER SMOOTHLY. The PWM frequency is automatically adjusted to each brushless motor during operation.
Please note that with a Jeti REX receiver, the telemetry values are only output on E1 and E2. If the ESC is to be connected to the EXT slot of the JETI DUPLEX receiver or via an expander, the YGE TexY is required.
Simple and Fast Configuration through 6 Pre-Programmed Operating Modes
To pre-program the ESC to match the application, the operating mode programming was created. Using the transmitter stick, all necessary parameters are preset to match the operating mode, and the throttle channel endpoints are also automatically learned.
The following modes are available:
Mode 1: External Governor
Mode 2: Governor
Mode 3: Governor Store
Mode 4: Plane with Brake (Glider)
Mode 5: Plane without Brake
Mode 6: Plane with Acro Brake
Programming the operating modes and fully commissioning the ESC is done in just a few minutes. For advanced programming and selecting the telemetry protocol, the USB adapter for connection to a PC is required.
Bailout:
Autorotation is not just a 3D maneuver that impresses at airshows. In emergency situations, it's also crucial to master autorotation, which is why it's even more important to practice it from time to time. The bailout function plays an important role here, because if an autorotation does not succeed as planned, you can turn the motor back on and the ESC quickly returns the throttle to the set speed without reacting with a soft start.
Jeti ExBus:
With the Jeti transmitter, you have the option to set the most important ESC parameters directly in the transmitter via the Jeti Box. This allows you to conveniently adjust individual ESC settings directly at the airfield. The ESC settings can be found in the JetiBox menu under "Mx".
The Following Telemetry Values are Output by the ESC
Battery voltage, current, capacity, RPM, FET temperature, BEC temperature, BEC voltage, throttle setting, ESC output. Our Saphir and Aureus series also output the capacitor temperature and BEC current.

Advanced Settings via PC Software
The YGE Connect software offers the option to make advanced settings on the ESC (separate USB adapter required). This allows you to select the desired telemetry protocol, adjust the start-up as desired, or change the BEC voltage. It also displays the recorded data from the last flight as well as any error entries. The ESC setup can be saved or different setups can be loaded. Of course, the ESC can also be updated online to always be up to date. The YGE Connect software can be downloaded here.
